Here are some of the materials that I reference in my workshop.  You do not need to have attended a workshop to use these forms, but if you have you will truly understand the intention and use of each form.

In my workshops, I reference a few specific items, such as the Self Regulation Gauge, Relaxation Book, Social Stories and fine motor task planner.

Links on this page will allow you to view, save, print these items so you can use them.

There are additional resources and handouts in other areas of this site, but I try to keep the ones I reference in my workshop here, so they can be found more easily.

The Sensory Supplement working forms.pdf include blank forms: What WorksRed Zone, and Safe Place.  These are useful forms that can help you learn about someone with differing sensory and regulation needs.

The coloured gauges are used to support the use of the Alert Program, a great tool to teach self regulation skills.  You can use large gauges, or there are small pocket size versions in the set.   If you have access to a colour laser printer, you can print the gauges on card stock and then cut out and assemble.  With   inkjet printers, you can use any paper as it is best to laminate (as colours tend to run).

I use the Relaxation Book as part of helping the child to notice how it feels to be relaxed, and how to have more control over self regulation.  I use this booklet as part of my approach to promote stress managment, which I discuss near the end of my workshop.   The relaxation book needs to be used regularly, at least at first.  Many people with regulatory challenges do not notice their bodies becoming more tense until it is too late, so building this physical self awareness can be very important.  The book is not in the proper "view order" as it is set up to be printed back to back and then folded in half.  The pages will then be in proper viewing order.

Printing

In the files below, it can be a pain to remove each graphic and place them to spell a name or a word.  It may be worth it to find a suitable font and use the “WordArt” feature of software and format to ‘outline only’.  Then when you print it, you can add the starting dot and the starter  stroke.
